Rescued horses resting on the beach in Cocles, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

Not a tour company with horses as inventory

Most trail-ride operators on this coast work from a rental string. Ours started the other way around: Oriana and Jimmy have taken in injured, starved and abandoned horses since 2007, working from more than 40 years of combined experience in equine care, natural horsemanship and classical European training. A horse only carries a guided ride once it's ready for one — the ride is how you meet the rescue, not a separate business next to it.

Every horse here was rescued first

Every horse in our care came from neglect, mistreatment or abandonment. We work with natural horsemanship — clear communication, patience and positive reinforcement instead of force — until a horse finds its confidence again. Some recover enough to carry a guided ride; others are simply retired here, cared for for the rest of their lives.
